But the age of 22 while on a military training course, Sean saw something which triggered his first panic attack. Back then (1987) the medical fraternity did not have the same understanding of panic attacks as they have today. For the remainder of the course, he would be admitted into the military hospital at night and released during the day so he could complete his training.
Within 18-months Sean had been discharged from the Air Force, medically unfit for further service. He also lost his pilot license for a few years.
For the next 20-years, the attacks impacted every area of his life taking him to the lowest place a person can go on several occasions.
In 2007 after another severe attack, he made the commitment to himself that he would either find a cure for his mental health issue or at least die trying! And he discovered a combination of things that worked for him.
Each book Sean writes makes use of his experiences and the incredible knowledge he has gained through experience or his subsequent research.
Since experiencing his own breakthrough in 2007, Sean has continued to build his understanding of how the mind works. Along the way, he developed his own method of taking the complexity out of psychological principles and communicating them in a way that normal everyday people can understand and apply.
Today he travels talking about his books and sharing the key messages in them. If you would like to contact Sean, please email him at info@saredmond.com
